Four!

Oh my goodness, my baby girl is four. She had a lovely day. Balloons and a cupcake for breakfast (of course!), presents at dinner time. Tomorrow we bring muffins to school and she gets to "walk around the sun" in their special classroom celebration. She insists she wants Ty to walk with her; we'll see. Here she is in the AM, holding her ever-faithful Charmin Bear (side note: today I brought her home after school and Charmin *gasp* was in Daddy's car. We had to take our nap without him. She whined a little but was able to sleep Charmin-free).

Ty enjoys his cupcake. In Marie's classroom, the other children must wait to eat their treat until the birthday celebrant has had the first bite. Marie insisted we follow this rule too. Poor Ty was babbling at a furious pace trying to convey to us that he was READY for his cupcake while Marie took her dainty little time unwrapping hers to eat.
Marie in full birthday glory. Party hat - check. Birthday plate -- check. Birthday dress with "4" on it - check. Cupcakes, presents, card - check. You can even see her baptism candle on the right border of the photo. Check.

Kissing the puppet Uncle Jeff gave her. The puppet must go away for a while, however, because Ty is absolutely terrified of it. Jim calls it the "puppet of discipline" and jokes that if Ty doesn't behave, he will have to sit in the pack-n-play with the puppet.
And now for some birthday giggles...

Happy 4 Marie! It sounds like a wonderful day. The puppet/Ty thing is hilarious... they are kinda scary though; I agree with Ty!
